residency exception

If you now live in NC, but have not established the 12-month residency, there is an exception to allow you to pay in-state tuition for classes leading to your licensure!

You are eligible for a tuition exemption, by NC State Law. Once you register for you Teacher Education Course, contact the registrar, Phillip Lopp, at the Levine Campus and provide the following:
1) copy of your full-time teaching contract
2) copy of your proof of  current residence; driver's license, etc

Your tuition will be adjusted, and you can then pay the in-state rate.
