Project Vote! Festival Be Informed!
This fall, Student Life and Service-Learning have joined with Generation Engage and Democracy NC for Project Vote!, a series of events designed to get students engaged in the political process and excited about casting their vote in this year’s election.
We hope that you and your students will join us for the Project Vote! Festival on Wednesday, September 24, 10am-2pm on the Central Campus Green. We have invited a wide array of community organizations, political parties, and non-partisan groups to talk with students and share information. Students may also register to vote with the Mecklenburg County Board of Elections & League of Women Voters, use sample voting machines, and determine their correct precincts.
The event will feature music, poetry, and a DJ, and FREE PIZZA* for those students who participate and visit at least 5 different booths (*while it lasts!).
This event is an excellent opportunity for your students to hear from local groups who have a stake in the coming election and is a great chance to get involved!
