2008 Simulation Days

In recognition of Disability Awareness month, Student Life, Disability Services, Physical Therapy Assisting program, and the Developmental Disability program are teaming up to bring back this hands-on disability simulation event.

Students, staff and faculty participating in the simulation portion of the event will have the opportunity to "try-on" a disability and participate in their regularly-scheduled classes and responsibilities. At the end of their time, any borrowed equipment or supplies are returned.

Participants are invited to a discussion about what the opportunity was like and how it may have affected them.

Also included in this year’s event a hands-on area where participants may experience learning and physical disabilities through various demonstrations.
