Alternative Spring Break

“I don't know what your destiny will be, but one thing I do know: the only ones among you who will be really happy are those who have sought and found how to serve.” Albert Schweitzer

Alternative Spring Break (ASB) is a low-cost service trip that provides students with an opportunity to participate in meaningful service activities, learn more about community issues, and have fun. Students will work on a variety of service projects designed to encourage civic responsibility. This trip takes place during CPCC’s official spring break every year in March.

In the past, students have traveled to Atlanta, GA to work on homelessness and hunger projects and to Charleston, SC to focus on environmental issues. The Service-Learning Center also offers service opportunities in the Charlotte area during spring break for students interested in serving locally.

For more information about this service project, contact Cassie Moore at 704.330.6824 or cassie.moore@cpcc.edu.
