The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department is currently looking for Property Control Technicians.

Responsible for receiving, release and storage of impounded property for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department in a 24-hour, 7 day a week operation. Issues uniforms and equipment to employees; assists with inventory control and entering data into databases. Requires high school graduation with experience in varied clerical work, and use of computers; the ability to type 35 words a minute or more is preferred. Must have good knowledge of mathematics and ability to work with numbers; demonstrate good communication skills and have the ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Required to work weekends and holidays as scheduled. The primary shift hours will be 10:30 p.m. to 6:30 a.m. while rotating shifts during the training. Final candidates subject to polygraph examination, drug testing, criminal history and background checks.
