ST-AAS Bridge Option

The ST-AAS Bridge Option is designed for the working surgical technologist who desires to advance their professional career by obtaining an Associate in Applies Science degree in Surgical Technology. This program utilizes both traditional and distance learning to facilitate the leaning of the working professional student. Applicants must be a graduate of a CAAHEP accredited surgical technology school or program. Applicants to this program must be (at the time of application) presently working as a surgical technologist in either an acute care facility or free standing surgical center, applicants may also be employed as a private surgical technologist. Applicants to the program must posses a current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified First Assistant (CFA) as awarded by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA), formerly the LCC-ST. Upon successful completion of the program, graduates are awarded an Associate in Applied Science (AAS) in Surgical Technology.
