Q. How much college education do I need in order to enter this training?
A. You need to have the equivalent of a high school education.
Q. Once I complete this training will I receive certification from the State of North Carolina?

have completed the state-required training. This will allow you to be employed by an assisted living
or skilled nursing facility as an activities director.
Q. What are the job opportunities for Activities Directors?
A. The job opportunities are good. However, those graduates who are hired straight out of the training are the ones who have experience in the field of aging, or have education beyond high school.
Q. What is the salary range for this position?
A. It is difficult to predict the salary that you could earn, as it depends on your prior experience and educational level at the time of completion of the training.
