ASSISTED LIVING ADMINISTRATION TRAINING
This training meets the Division of Facility Services requirements for a total of 215 contact hours of training:
· 75 hours of course work
· 140 hours of on-site internship training

Pre-Registration Requirements:
1. Pre-requisite: 30 college credits PLUS 2 years of supervisory experience in an assisted living, OR 60 college credits. Submit an official transcript together with a form requesting an evaluation of your transcript (go to
http://www1.cpcc.edu/admissions/student-records/transcript_evaluation_request.pdf/view and print out the form)

2. A telephone interview with Kathie Cox (704.330.6508) or Teri Tucker (704.330.6162), to determine your eligibility for the training.
3. If you have never taken courses at CPCC you will have to complete an Admissions Form which can be obtained on the website at www.cpcc.edu,
4. Once approved to register, Call Kathie or Teri. You will make payment to CPCC and mail your payment to:

The cost for the training is $77.50 (does not include any other fees charged by the college)
5. A required orientation prior to the training will be organized by CPCC. At this orientation you will have an opportunity to meet with approved preceptors. It is your responsibility to secure an internship site, and a list of approved preceptors will be given to you at this required orientation.
* Please note that the registration fee is so reasonable because the State subsidizes this training through your tax dollars!
TRAINING SCHEDULE:
The two components of the training are:
1) Course Work:
a) Mandatory Preceptorship Orientation: 1-5pm

Fri/Sat 8:30 - 4:30pm
One weekend a month

2) Internship:
(A total of 140 hours)
10 hours a week for 14 weeks - onsite at an approved Assisted Living. The internship runs during the Spring semester, so needs to be completed by the second week in May, 2006.
