The CPCC NDET Student Club is now established!  Our mission is to promote growth of our non-destructive examination progrtam here at CPCC and to explore career opportunities in the field.  We plan to meet monthly and will announce the meeting date and location on the website.

We recently participated in a joint AWS/ASNT meeting held at the EPRI NDE Center here in Charlotte.   Demonstrations included: a computer simulation for GMAW welding; new narrow groove welding techniques for Class 2 and 3 piping systems; ultrasonic phased array data collection and data analysis and; eddy current aplplications on heat exchanger tubing.  To top that off, the group kindly fed us dinner!  Thanks to Greg Frederick (EPRI) and the AWS and ASNT Sections for an informative and fun meeting!  Please contact Terry Haigler or Robert Smilie for additional information concerning the club and it's activities.
