Non-Destructive Examination Program at CPCC

Students enrolled in the NDET program last year may contact Terry.Haigler@cpcc.edu to arrange an open lab session during June and July.  Open labs will be conducted when participation warrants.

CPCC offers an Associate Degree in Non-Destructive Examination Technology that began with the Fall 2007 semester, at our Harper Campus in south Charlotte.   Opportunities abound in the field as our aging infrastructure, petrochemical, and power generation facilities all require more careful inspection and examination to serve in their intended application and environment.  NDE is truly a rewarding and challenging career.

Upon completion of the AAS degree program, a student can easily transition to ECU and pursue his or her BS fully online, while gainfully employed.  Certainly, a tremendous opportunity for those driven to continue their formal education.

Many NDE method specific certificates are also awarded, either as a part of the AAS program or individually.  In this way, CPCC continues its vision in providing exceptional workforce development for the greater Charlotte area and beyond.
