The Media Relations team helps disseminate news about CPCC’s programs, courses, events and activities, as well as the newsworthy accomplishments of CPCC faculty and staff. In addition, the Media Relations team offers skills training to members of the College community to help College employees develop successful relations with local media outlets.

• Preparation of media notes and news releases
• Planning and execution of press conferences
• Counsel to clients on most effective use of media, and timelines/requirements for news coverage
• Training in media relations
• "Last minute" coaching sessions prior to interviews
• Maintain Media Contact Database of local and regional media outlets for use by the College, and an "Experts at CPCC" database for use by the media
