Letter to Faculty & Staff from Richard Zollinger
ASPIRE!
With the focus on community colleges nationwide, we at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC), as well as with partnering colleges across the state and country, have become more data driven, completion-and outcome-orientated, as well as focused on graduation rates. This does not change our main purpose to be directed towards the success of all of our students. ASPIRE: A Structured Plan for Inspire, Refocused Education, with its well-defined areas of transitioning to College, enhancing student success, and building pathways to careers and assisting our students in being college ready, provides a framework for the many initiatives that are taking place in the Learning Unit and throughout the College. Achieving the Dream, Completion by Design, Math Redesign, among others, are designed with student success in mind. More than ever I see my role as one of providing support so that you, the faculty and staff, can do what you do best: teach and guide our students on the path to their goals. |
December 2011
Bringing a semester to a close is always a busy time for students, faculty, and staff. However, while the semester is coming to a close, we still pause to welcome those who have joined us during the fall semester.

Here are our new additions in the Learning Unit hired through growth money and through retirements.
These individuals have joined us since my last newsletter.

On behalf of the Learning Council and myself, I wish you the very best this season has to offer. In the hustle and bustle of bringing the fall 2011 semester to a close, I hope you are also making personal plans for a memorable holiday and that your time away from College will be filled with celebrations with family and friends.
Sincerely,
Richard Zollinger
