Windows Mobile 5.0 | Mobile Synchronization Setup Instructions

To setup your device to synchronize with CPCC's email system on your Windows Mobile device please follow the steps outlined below:

Step 1)	Installing Activesync on the Windows Mobile device

Select Start
Select ActiveSync


Step 3)

Tap on the ActiveSync icon.


Step 4)

Enter mobile.cpcc.edu within the Server Address field.


Step 5)

Enter your Network Username and Password.

Enter cpcc.edu within the Domain field.

Verify that checkbox for Save Password is checked.

Select Next


Step 6)

On the following screen, you will be able to choose the items that you wish to sync with your Windows Mobile Device.

Select Finish


Step 8)

Select the Calendar listing

Select the Settings button

Verify 2 Weeks is selected for "Synchronize only the past"


Step 9)

Select the Advanced button

Verify that Replace item on device is selected under "If there is a conflict"

Select Next


Step 10)

Select the Email listing

Select the Settings button


Step 11)

Verify that 2 Weeks is selected under "Include the previous" field.

Verify that 500 KB is selected under "Limit e-mail size to" field

Verify that 500 KB is entered within the "Only if smaller than" field.


Step 8)

Select the Advanced button

Verify that Replace item on device is selected under "If there is a conflict"

Select Next


Step 8)

Select Finish


Step 8)

Select Sync at the bottom of the window.


Step 8)

If everything was entered correctly, you should see the Synchronizing screen at the right.
