Using webfolders, you can access your U-Drive or an H-Drive off campus. All you need is a webdav client and internet access. Here are some ways to access your U drive or an H drive remotely.
CPCC Webfolder Remote Access Tool
You can access your Udrive or an Hdrive with this tool.
If you are prompted for a userid and password,
for the userid, enter "cpcc\mynetworkid" where mynetwork id is your network id (eg, cpcc\abc1234e),
and for the password, enter your network password.
Once you have connected to your U Drive or to an H Drive, you will be able to save, copy, move, and/or create files.
(Please be patient; it may take some time to connect.)
To access your U drive:
2. Click the U drive link that appears next to the button.
This service requires the use of Internet Explorer version 5.5 or later. Download IE 6 from Microsoft now.
Alternate WebDAV Clients
You can also try accessing your U drive or and H drive using an alternate client.
The webfolder service in general is compatible with any SSL capable webDAV
client software. If you are accessing your webfolders using an alternate client,
use the following connection information:
Udrive: https://webfolders.cpcc.edu/udrive/<userID>
(where <userID> is your college network username, e.g. abc1234e),
Hdrive: https://webfolders.cpcc.edu/hdrive
CPCC Webdrive Tool
If you connect to your webfolders often from the same computer, you may want to use the
CPCC Webdrive Tool
to connect to your Udrive or an Hdrive remotely. This tool allows you
to map a drive (e.g. U: or H:) on your home computer to your Udrive or to an H drive, allowing you
to work with them just as you would files on your hard drive.
Notes
Due to the size of some files, these services generally work best with a fast
internet connection (ie, cable or DSL).
Because of the wide variety of software and configurations commonly encountered outside the college network, we are not able to provide support for remote connectivity through an ISP.
