CPCC's Instructional Development / eLearning area provides and supports several applications and resources to assist faculty and staff in creating course content and enhancements.

Audacity
Audacity is an open source audio recording and editing software application. IDev recommends and supports this application as its preferred audio production tool for college employees who are developing media content for courses. [more]

authorPOINT
authorPOINT (aP) is software that allows you to add synchronized audio and/or video to any MS PowerPoint presentation. Additionally, this media-enhanced presentation can be published for the Internet, e-learning, CD distribution, and more. [more]

Blackboard
"
The Blackboard Learning System is a family of software applications designed to enhance teaching and learning." This is the college's primary system for delivering online courses. It allows college employees to develop and manage online courses, content, communication, students, assessments, grades and much more. [more]

Moodle
Moodle is a quickly-growing open source course management system (CMS). CPCC has been utilizing Moodle to deliver and manage online courses since 2005. While it is still a relatively new option, CPCC has a vibrant community to Moodle users and advocates. Office
CPCC formally supports Microsoft Office as its standard for employee desktop applications. Office includes Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Publisher, and more. These applications can be utilized to develop content for in-class and eLearning offerings.
