Goal Setting Process
The Annual Planning and Goal Setting Process

Early Spring |
Individual units establish objectives for the next academic year to support the College’s six major goals from the strategic plan. Budget proposals and preparation are based on these objectives. |

Late Fall |
Units do mid progress reports on objectives set for current year. |

Late Spring
|
Units complete a year-end assessment of objectives and report accomplishments, plans for improvement, and need for resource reallocation. |
|
Summer |
The Assistant to the President compiles the accomplishments of major planning units and notes progress toward goals. These accomplishments are formally distributed yearly in August to all employees. |
|
Early Fall |
The Cabinet, the Planning Council, and the Board of Trustees review institutional effectiveness reports based on the previous year’s accomplishments. |
