Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA)

Employees who have been employed by the college for twelve months by the date leave is requested are eligible for up to twelve weeks of unpaid leave under the FMLA policy. FMLA leave may be used for:

  • The birth of a child and in order to care for such child.
  • The placement of a child with the employee for adoption or foster care.
  • A serious health condition that makes the employee unable to perform the functions of the position.
  • In order to care for a member of the employee's immediate family.
