Career and College Promise

CCP registration for summer 2013 and fall 2013 is now open!

We will continue to accept paperwork and allow students to register until classes begin in August.

 

Students should check with their guidance counselors and/or career and development coordinators at their respective high schools to see if any additional deadlines and/or guidelines exist for this program.

 

Career and College Promise provides seamless dual enrollment educational opportunities for eligible North Carolina high school students. Central Piedmont Community College will be hosting the following information sessions to provide information on this program:

ALL CAREER AND COLLEGE STUDENTS ARE REQUIRED TO ATTEND AN ORIENTATION SESSION DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR CCP. 

Orientation Dates for Summer 2013:

Saturday, June 22 at 10 am-Central Campus: Overcash 212

Tuesday, July 9 at 6 pm-Levine Campus: Levine 2215

Tuesday, July 23 at 6 pm-Merancas Campus: Transportation Systems Building 250

Thursday, August 1 at 2 pm-Levine Campus: Levine 2215

Thursday, August 8 at 6 pm-Central Campus: Overcash 252

Please note that these are general orientation sessions for all CCP students.  CCP students wishing to take classes on the Medical Assisting Pathway must also attend an orientation for medical assisting students.

 

More general information session dates will be posted soon--stay tuned!

NO HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT WILL BE ABLE TO REGISTER FOR MEDICAL ASSISTING CLASSES UNTIL THEY ATTEND A MANDATORY MEDICAL ASSISTING ORIENTATION SESSIONS.  The next session will be held:

Tuesday, August 6 at 6 pm : Central Campus, Health Careers Building, Room 3531

To be eligible for CCP, a high school student must meet with their career development coordinator or guidance counselor to determine if they are college ready.  For specific criteria, please refer to the following Career and College Promise Operating Procedures document from the State Office.
