Fred D. Alexander Scholarship
Purpose: To provide a full one year non-monetary scholarship for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools high school graduates only, who graduate in the spring and plan to attend CPCC for the first time in the fall semester.
Allowable Fields of Study: n/a

Criteria:

Recipients are selected from Charlotte-Mecklenburg high schools and the adult high school program.

  • Applicant's family household income is no more than 150% of the federal poverty level for the current year
  • Applicant must be a first generation college student (neither parent holds a baccalaureate degree)
  • Applicant's high school academic perform is a 2.0 or better
  • Applicant's submission of a high school attendance record
  • Applicant demonstrates college potential and good citizenship
Renewal:

This scholarship is not renewable. It is awarded in the fall term only.
