Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant (FSEOG)
Facts: Requirements:
  • Gift Aid (does not have to be repaid)
  • Funded by the Federal Government
  • Gives priority to Federal Pell Grant recipients.
  • Administered directly by CPCC's Financial Aid/VA Office.
  • The amount of aid awarded depends on the student's financial need, or the amount of other aid the student receives, and on the availability of funds.
  • Be eligible for a Pell Grant
  • Demonstrate financial need
  • Be a US Citizen or eligible non-citizen
  • Hold a High School Diploma or GED Certificate
  • Be enrolled at least 6 credit hours in an eligible program. (If not enrolled at least 6 credit hours, award will be cancelled. Award for the following semester will also be cancelled unless you contact the Financial Aid Office.)
  • NOT have a Bachelors degree
  • Make Satisfactory Academic Progress
  • Complete Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
How to Apply:
  • Apply to the College and be admitted to an eligible program of study.
  • Complete the current FAFSA form.
  • If you are applying for the Fall 2007, Spring 2008 or Summer 2008, complete the 2007/08 FAFSA form.
  • FSEOG is awarded in the Fall and Spring semesters only.
  • Complete your Financial Aid file (check priority dates).
