In order to achieve the goal of offering the newest IT degree (Network Security) completely on line, we're in the process of implementing a new technology we refer to as remote labs.

The lab will be set up independent of the CPCC network and will allow students to access the specific computers within that lab with all their complex hardware and software configurations in order to take the course at a distance.

CPCC's lab will be in- use 24 hours a day 7 days a week by students from all over the world. Even when the lab appears to be empty in actuality there will be up to 24 vitual students using the sophicated technology required for the security degree.
