Need your very first course website?

| Step 1 | Request an online account if you do not already have a CPCCLogin and password: http://www.cpcc.edu/itservices/network/ This is a two-part process: once you've submitted your online request, someone in your division must confirm that you have an active contract with the College. Check with your discipline Chair, Division Director or division secretary.

| Step 2 | Effective Spring 2008, ALL courses will have Blackboard shells automatically created. This occurs about a month before the next semester begins. |

If course shells are not yet available and you wish to develop your course content, request a master. You will copy your master into your shell prior to the new semester.

| Step 3 | Learn how to develop your course website and teach effectively in an online environment. |
Quick Course Website: 2 - 4 hrs. depending on your existing computer and Internet skills. Tutorials on the most common functions in a simple course website , designed for a web-enhanced course: The Basics of Blackboard No network access is required to view these tutorials. | |
