New to Blackboard?

Need your very first course website?

First Website Banner

Step 1   Request an online account if you do not already have a UserID and password: http://www.cpcc.edu/itservices/network/
This is a two-part process:  once you've submitted your online request, someone in your division must confirm that you have an active contract with the College.  Check with your Discipline Chair, Division Director, or division secretary.

  Step 2

Effective Spring 2008, ALL courses will have Blackboard shells automatically created.  This occurs about a month before the current semester ends.

  • Fully online and hybrid course shells will be automatically made available to students on the course start date.
  • All other shells must be made available by the instructor (Control Panel / Course Options / Settings)

If course shells are not yet available and you wish to develop your course content, request a master. You will copy your master into your shell prior to the new semester.

Step 3 Learn how to develop your course website and teach effectively in an online environment
Quick Course Website: 2 - 4 hrs. depending upon your existing computer and Internet skills
Tutorials on the most common functions in a simple course website (choose your LMS):
      the Basics of Blackboard
      the Basics of Moodle
No network access is required to view the tutorials.
Attend In-Person Blackboard Training or Workshops:

LearnerWeb (to enroll in training sessions)
      email Instructional Development/eLearning for assistance:
