Individuals with a temporary disability, usually due to an injury such as a broken arm, an eye injury, etc., should be referred to the Office of Disability Services after the individual has received initial medical treatment. Depending upon the documentation of the disability, the student may be eligible to receive services such as note taking, special test administration, and loan of assistive technology. If the student is absent for an extended period, Disability Services may assist in making a request for a medical withdrawal.
