This regional project will raise awareness in the community and among students about critical environmental issues along with the green energy/green building solutions and green lifestyle choices that are available to us all. It will be inaugurated on CPCC’s Central Campus through a multi-day celebration over Earth Day weekend, April 18-21, 2008. A mix of activities is planned to better appeal to a cross section of the community. Central Piedmont Community College faculty and staff are important contributors with the participation of their Center for Sustainability, Culinary Institute, and the Construction Institute, as well as participation from Science, Engineering and IT departments. CPCC’s Marketing Team, Student Life Director and the staff of the Futures Institute are all part of the Charlotte Clean & Green Team.
