Charlotte; the Green Horizon
A November 18th Panel Event

“Charlotte, the Green Horizon”
We have selected what we believe to be a cross-section of Charlotte professionals who will bring before a live audience, their observations, advice, predictions and warnings, based on their best judgments and experience. Molly Grantham from WBTV News will moderate and offer questions for discussion. This is not a debate and is not a political event, nor is it a finger pointing session, but an opportunity to awaken cooperative thinking and potential partnerships for action. This is simply a snapshot of where the Charlotte region is, where it could be, and what it will take to get there. Just two weeks after the presidential election, the timing couldn’t be better.
Panel members include:
- Dave Cable – Executive Director; Catawba Lands Conservancy
- Dr. Helen Hilger - UNC-Charlotte Associate Professor – Civil & Environmental Engineering
- Edwin Peacock – City Council Member, Chair of the Environment Cabinet
- Rob Phocas – Assistant City Attorney for the City of Charlotte. Environmental Law.
- Rebecca Yarbrough – Assistant Director – Centralina Council of Governments
- Matt Miller -coordinator for Geomatics and Sustainability, CPCC
· Spring ‘09 Follow up: In April 2009, during CPCC’s spring environmental program; “Charlotte: Clean & Green”, we would like you to return for a follow up public program; “Is Charlotte growing a green future?”
Don't miss this informative view of Charlotte's future!
