National Wildlife Federation Certifies all six CPCC Campuses!

“Restoring America’s economic health is linked to restoring the health of our natural systems. We must address carbon pollution and the growing threats to our natural world. We cannot do one without the other, or we will fail to meet our moral obligations to generations that will follow us.” - Larry Schweiger

Innovation Grant creates six National Wildlife Federation Certified Wildlife Habitats; one at each campus location. Check out  images of each campus location through the tabs on the left.

CPCC received a Certified National Wildlife Habitat designation for all campus locations by the National Wildlife Federation. Six internal grants, each worth $2000, allowed campus teams to design and develop their own unique wildlife habitat.

Each habitat provides the four essential elements to attract wildlife which include: Food, Water, Cover, and Places to Raise Young.

Our long-term goal is to provide ongoing educational opportunities in sustainable landscape practices using native plants. These low-maintenance areas will also provide an example of wildlife habitats that can be created in anyone’s backyard.
