These organizations have played an on-going supportive role in CPCC's programs and events.

North Carolina Conservation Network
Veronica Butcher, an Organizer from the North Carolina Conservation Network has visited our campus on several occasions. The North Carolina Conservation Network is a statewide network of over 120 environmental, community and environmental justice organizations focused on protecting North Carolina's environment and public health.

Carolinas Clean Air Coalition
June Blotnick, Executive Director of the Carolinas Clean Air Coalition, continues to be a major partner with CPCC on multiple programs. The Carolinas Clean Air Coalition was founded in 2002 to address air quality issues in the Charlotte region.

North Carolina Wildlife Federation
Tim Gestwicki, Director of the Regional Office and Volunteer Relations; North Carolina Wildlife Federation, has been a supporter and contributor to our CPCC Campus Wildlife Habitat program. The mission of the North Carolina Wildlife Federation is to be the leading advocate for all North Carolina wildlife and its habitat.

North Carolina Campus Compact
This is a coalition of 26 colleges and university presidents established to encourage and support campus engagement in the communituy. North Carolina Campus Compact is the Lead Agency for North Carolina during NGYSD.

NGYSD
National & Global Youth Services Day is the largest event in the world. The goals are to mobalize youth to identify and address the needs of their communities through service, to support youth on a life-long path of service and civic engagement, and to educate the public, the media, and policymakers about the year-round contributions of young people as community leaders.


CharMeck Park and Recreation Greenway project

The Mecklenburg County Greenway System is quickly becoming one of the finest in the country. Greenways are vegetated natural buffers that improve water quality, reduce the impacts of flooding, and provide wildlife habitat. There are about 33 miles of developed and 147 miles of undeveloped greenways in Mecklenburg County. The Little Sugar Creek Greenway runs along CPCC's Central Campus and will become a vital part of the campus landscape.
