We support the definition of sustainability which can be traced to the 1987 United Nations Conference:
"Sustainability:  the ability to meet the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs."

The Center for Sustainability is taking a leading role in education and training; preparing Charlotte and Mecklenburg County for a sustainable future.
