There are many career counseling opportunities in the Charlotte area. Private practitioner fees range anywhere from $65 per hour to $2,000 for a comprehensive assessment program. As a state-supported community college, CPCC offers the following services at affordable rates.

Career Exploration Group

A comprehensive program focusing on self-assessment and career exploration, facilitated by a professionally trained career counselor.

Participate in a small group for two sessions to learn about careers that fit your personality, interests, and skills. This interactive group meets on two weekday evenings from 6:00-9:00 pm.
Two professional career assessments (Myers-Briggs Type Inventory and Strong Interest Inventory) and a comprehensive workbook are included

Take a career assessment that will help you ensure that your personality and interests are best suited to owning your own business. Gain insights on your strengths and weaknesses so you can adjust your business plan to maximize success. Cost: $37.00 for a comprehensive 13-page report, plus counseling appointment.
