Business and Accounting
Welcome to the Business and Accounting Division at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC). In preparing our students to meet the needs of the competitive and dynamic global business environment, we offer a variety of degree, diploma and certificate programs in the fields of accounting, general business, human resources management, international business and marketing. Our courses are offered in the traditional face-to-face format and online.
Our Economics department serves the needs of all students at CPCC pursuing transfer degrees by offering economic courses as a general education requirement.
Our Global Issues Forum features distinguished speakers every year and are open to our students, faculty, staff and the general public. In addition, our curriculum classes often have speakers from industry.
Candidates planning to take the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) examination can take our courses to meet the 150 credit requirement. Students with bachelor degrees in fields other than accounting can complete courses necessary to meet the 30-hour concentration in accounting as required by the North Carolina Board of CPA Examiners to sit for the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Examination.
