- CPCC serves more than 70,000 people in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg community and is recognized nationally as a leader in workforce development.
- Although square footage at CPCC has increased 23.7 percent over the past five years, enrollment has increased 25 percent over the same period.
- This growth has resulted in a continued shortage of space at the College.
- CPCC continues to grow and has critical needs for building renovations and additional space.
- CPCC operates on a lower cost per square foot than both the national educational market and the state community college average.
- CPCC has not had a bond referendum on the local ballot since 1999.
- CPCC has been a good steward of the community's money. The college has no funds remaining from previous local bonds.
