We encourage all staff and students to participate in health, nutrition and wellness activities around the Charlotte area and throughout the state of North Carolina.

2. The NC HealthSmart Health Risk Assessment is your personal, customized and 100% confidential online health assessment tool. Your personal health information will not be shared with your employer and will only be used for the purpose of helping you manage your health. Simply click here ,NC HealthSmart, and take about fifteen minutes to share some basic information about your health history and lifestyle. When you finish, the Health Risk Assessment will deliver an immediate report and a powerful health improvement program designed specifically for you. All employees and their families whose primary health insurance is through the NC State Health Plan are eligible.

3. North Carolina State Health Plan provides support to all members who want to quit smoking or quit using smokeless tobacco. Due to the significant health benefits of tobacco cessation, the State Health Plan provides resources to encourage members to tobacco smoking. 4. Recreate All Year - Participate in several of the Mecklenburg County Park and Recreation's programs, classes, leagues, lessons or wildlife programs. Check out their website for directions to specific parks or to learn about activities for all ages.

5. Check out the Organizing Healthy Meals for Meetings, Events & Celebrations (a power point presentation) provided by NC HealthSmart Worksite Wellness program a divison of the North Carolina Health Department. The powerpoint provides tips, guidelines and serving suggestions for foods and drinks served at meetings, events and other activities as well as many web links.
