Home School students encouraged to learn more about concurrent enrollment classes at CPCC
North Carolina high school students (age 16 and older) have an opportunity to enroll in approved college-level courses at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC). Known as concurrent enrollment, this program offers high school students a chance to earn college credit while still in high school. The program has been extremely successful with students in Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools over the past several years. In order to increase awareness of the program among home school students, CPCC will hold an information session on concurrent enrollment for home school students and their parents on Monday, July 31 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. in the CPCC Levine Campus Auditorium (2800 Campus Ridge Road).
Students will learn more about:
• Preparing for the August 7th concurrent enrollment registration
• Proper documentation needed for concurrent enrollment registration
• How to transition to the College student status
• Transfer opportunities from CPCC to a four year college or university
• Student Life opportunities for home school students
Students and their parents will have an opportunity to ask questions and talk with representatives from the College’s cooperative high school program, admissions and registration, and enrollment and student services.
For more information, contact Reggie Pincham, Director of Enrollment and Student Services, at 704.330.4207.
