CPCC TV’s “Trail of History” Highlights Latta Plantation

This month, Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) TV’s new “Trail of History” show features Latta Plantation. The show explores this historic circa 1800 cotton plantation and living farm located in Northern Mecklenburg County. Guests on the show include: Kristin Toler, Executive Director of Latta Plantation; Susan Autry, CPCC History Instructor; Ken Holmes, Farm Manager for Latta Plantation; and Ann Williams, historical researcher.

“Trail of History,” hosted by CPCC History instructor Gary Ritter, focuses on the people and places that make Mecklenburg County great. The show airs Monday through Sunday at 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. In addition, the show can be seen Monday through Friday and Sundays at noon. Additional times on Friday include midnight, 1:00 a.m., 6:00 a.m. and 10:00 p.m.

“The rich and diverse history of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County is just wonderful, and we at the College want to bring it to you,” states Dr. Tony Zeiss, President of CPCC. “We understand the importance of history. We also know how critical it is for us to learn from the past so that our community can be even stronger in the future.”
