Enrollment process for degree, diploma, certificate seeking students.
After submitting your application to CPCC:
Note: Health related programs require interested students to complete an application to that program and attend a Health Orietation. See the specific program for more information.
Obtain your residence status for tuition purposes as determined by the College.
Applicants who wish to be classified as in-state are responsible for providing documentation if requested to do so.
Take placement tests
Take placement tests to meet prerequisite requirements for English or mathematics course, if you have not passed college level English and mathematics with a "C" or better.
- Schedule an appointment by calling 704-330-2722 to be directed to the appropriate person for the testing location you desire.
- It is recommended that you review the Accuplacer Studyguide availble on the Testing Website.
Have official copies of high school and previous college transcripts mailed to CPCC.
Request forms are available online or at the Student Records office.
- High school transcript with graduation date must be on file prior to graduation from CPCC programs unless you have earned an associate’s degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- To have previous college credits reviewed for transfer, have official copies of college transcripts mailed to CPCC and complete a transcript evaluation request form.
Apply for financial aid, scholarships or veterans benefits if interested.
If applying for financial aid, first complete the Free Application for Federal Student Financial Aid, available at all CPCC locations and online at http://www.cpcc.edu/financial_aid/
Meet with an academic advisor/Counselor
Go to the student success center in Central High Lobby at Central Campus or call for advising options at other CPCC campuses. Your academic advisor will:
- Interpret placement test scores.
- Assist with selection of courses for first term.
- Assign faculty advisor.
- Provide dates for orientation sessions.
Register for class.
